Casey Key resort sells for nearly $9 million

Escape Resort & Marina on Casey Key has been sold to a Wisconsin company for $8.63 million.

The waterfront resort is at 212 Casey Key Road and is made up of 14 condo-sized suites, townhouses and villas. The accommodations include a full kitchen, each with a private patio or balcony. It sits on about an acre and has direct Intracoastal frontage, gulf access and deeded beach frontage.

There is a waterfront clubhouse as well as an on-site 14-slip marina.

Angelia D. Young, with Sarasota’ A. Young Realty Group, says in an email that the property was marketed nationally, attracting strong interest from hospitality and waterfront investors.

The buyer is an LLC named Miller Southwest based in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The LLC’s address matches that of a company named Frontida Management, which owns and manages elder care facilities.

Crystal and Steve Miller are listed as the managers of Miller Southwest and Frontida’s website says it was founded by Crystal and Steve Miller.

Crystal Miller, at least based on her LinkedIn profile, will bring a strong operational discipline to Escape Resort & Marina as its owner.

According to the profile Miller, the company’s CEO, is a “leader in senior living who has made her mark as a ‘fixer.’ Bringing order to disorder in failing situations, optimizing profitability through strong systems and an unrelenting focus on teamwork and culture.”

Young represented both the buyer and the seller, Casey Key Ventures.
